We knew that this was going to happen. We have never as a department strayed from our policy of having at the very least of what we call Level 2 response. So, you may ask; what does Level 2 response mean? It means that we will come in wearing a mask and gloves. If you as a patient are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, we go into Level 4, which means that we come in wearing masks, Gloves, Eye Protection, and gowns.

Anyway, we as a department went in when the vaccinations were first starting to be offered, and we as the leadership put out that even if the responding crews were vaccinated, they were to continue with the policy guidelines. We knew that there never was enough information to know what was going to happen, there simply was not enough information to be able to base our future decisions on what is going on in the past.

So, the Delta variant is here now and we are starting to see a lot of "pull back" starting to happen. It is critical that you continue to use your common sense, be careful, do not allow yourself to become complacent.

This is the latest that we have seen. Take it for what you will. The critical thing to remember is to use common sense.
